Okay, here is a bucket list item crossed off our list!
In July of 2018, Tracy and I had the privilege of visiting California and taking the drive up the coast of the Golden State from Los Angeles to San Francisco.
California is a place I hold dear to my heart. Not only is the place where I lived when I served in the United States Navy during the 1980’s but it is also a place where my sister and brother-in-law, along with my three beautiful nieces live. This was Tracy’s first time in California, so my goal was to give her the California adventure of a lifetime.
We rented a Mustang convertible and took one of the most scenic drives the USA has to offer, and the scenery, and photography options, definitely did not disappoint. We started our trip in Los Angeles and headed north along Route 101 until we reached the beautiful highway 1 along the coast. The views, especially in Big Sur, were absolutely breathtaking!
This was such a memorable trip, and before it was even over, Tracy and I were already talking about doing it again. The next time, we plan on taking our time and spreading the drive over several days in length in order to take in some of the scenery some more. Definitely something to experience!
